NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals July 26, 2010 - July 31, 2010 For those who like to see history in the making, take a seat in the stands during the NHRA Junior Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals at Bristol Dragway, July 26-31. Aspiring drag racers, ages 8-18, from across the country will come to Thunder Valley hoping to hone their skills for the next stage of their career. A future NHRA World Champion may get his or her start during this season’s Eastern Conference Finals. Add the July 24-25 Mike Bos Chassis Craft Jr. Dragster Nationals and various fun races occurring during the days leading in to the Eastern Conference Finals and this becomes one of the greatest weeks of Jr. Dragster racing anywhere. The event is expected to attract racers from across the East Coast and abroad. Race champions in 2009 represented Ohio, Indiana, New Jersey, Florida, Tennessee, Illinois, Ohio and Louisiana. Bristol Dragway first hosted the Eastern Conference Finals in 2004 and the Western Conference Finals have been at Bandimere Speedway since NHRA adopted the Eastern/Western format in 2000.  Competitors race for individual and team honors at the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern and Western Conference Finals, and nearly $100,000 in savings bonds is given away at each event.
