Super Chevy Show September 26, 2008 - September 28, 2008
A fine assortment of Chevrolets will be on hand September 26-28 during the Super Chevy Show's 28th visit to Thunder Valley. The Super Chevy show, traditionally held in the heat of summer, returns for its second September visit. The new date provides the perfect weather and atmosphere for some of the most exciting bracket and exhibition racing in the country. Competition will feature bracket racers and Super Chevy's professional drivers, as well as the spectacular Nitro Coupes, Pro Modifieds running on Nitromethane. Fans will not want to miss the jet dragsters roar down the strip at speeds nearing 300 mph. New this year is the True Street cruise, which will see participants tour the surrounding countryside on a 30-mile journey before returning to race at the Dragway. Along the route, drivers will make laps at Bristol Motor Speedway. Those in attendance will have plenty of activities to keep them busy all weekend. In addition to exciting action on the strip, the TREMEC Transmission Car Show gives spectators the chance to get up close and personal with some super Chevys. Anyone interested in locating new products for their restoration project will want to visit the Performance & Restoration Marketplace. If that hard-to-find used part is nowhere to be found, the car corral and used parts swap meet is definitely the place to go.
