Parents bringing their children to Bristol Dragway for the O'Reilly NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals May 16-18 will have the opportunity to take part in the Sonic Tag-A-Kid Program.
The Tag-A-Kid Program is designed to reunite parents and their children should they become separated at Bristol Dragway over the course of a race weekend. Parents can go to any Nationwide Guest Services tent and take part in the program.
Each child receives an armband to wear for the day. The parent's name and seat location are written on the band. Any child that becomes separated from their parents will be escorted by Dragway personnel to the nearest Guest Services tent where they will remain in a secure, yet visible, site until the parents can be located. Bristol Dragway staff members will then locate the parents by using the seat number on the tag.
The Sonic Tag-A-Kid program includes providing ear protection for children who participate. Thousands of families have taken advantage of the Tag-A-Kid service, which began at Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway in 1997 as part of the Guest Services program.
There is no charge for families to take advantage of the Sonic Tag-A-Kid program or any Guest Services program.
