The battle of the "jet trains" highlights Bristol Dragway's Night of Fire on May 30.

At Bristol Dragway's action-packed Night of Fire on May 30, spectators definitely will feel the temperature rise when 300-mph Nitro Funny Cars scorch the track, jet cars hit the afterburners, monster trucks take control and Megasaurus dines on junk cars.  It's a can't miss night of thrills and chills for the whole family and the only time all year Thunder Valley will see this kind of show.

Nitro-burning, fire-breathing Funny Cars will take to the track, demonstrating exactly how Thunder Valley earned its name as NHRA veteran Bob Gilbertson and IHRA ace Andy Kelley clash.

A hair-raising wheelstander will bring the crowd to its feet as it points its front wheels skyward for an entire pass down the legendary Bristol Dragway quarter-mile.  How well does a race car steer with its front wheels in the air?  Only those in attendance will learn the answer.

The sound of train whistles, that evening will mean only one thing as the K.C. Jones Racing Team thunders into the staging lanes with the Chattanooga Choo-Choo and Cannonball Express.  How do these dragsters differ from the famous engine of Casey Jones?  Two words...jet engines.  After a spectacular fire show, the two "jet trains" will roar into the night at breathtaking speeds.

Monster trucks will put on a show and prove to fans that anything will fly if it has enough horsepower.  The powerful monsters will crush cars flatter than pancakes, making a perfect snack for Megasaurus.

Before Megasaurus makes his entrance, however, Benny the Bomb will delight fans with an amazing performance  A world-famous stuntman, Benny will strap himself inside a car packed with explosives.  He'll send the car into a raging inferno, and walk away unharmed to cheers from the crowd.

Finally, the evening's biggest guest, standing three stories tall and weighing over 50,000 pounds, will make his way to center stage.  Megasaurus' owners have provided Bristol Dragway staff with a menu of the mechanical marvel's favorite snacks.  With over 30,000 pounds of lifting power, there is no doubt he will be able to sample them all.

The Night of Fire will end with a dazzling fireworks show.  It's pure excitement all evening long and a show fans can't afford to miss.

Gates open at 6 p.m.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-15.  Children five and under are free.
