Nine-time X-Games medalist Tommy Clowers and his TNT Action Sports teamates invade Bristol Dragway Tuesday, Oct. 2.

At Bristol Dragway's Street Fights on Tuesday night, the action will not be limited to the strip. Fans will get the opportunity to see one of the top X-games athletes and freestyle riders in the world, nine-time medalist Tommy Clowers.

Clowers and Jeff Tilton, owners of TNT Action Sports, head to Bristol this week to perform their world-famous stunt show for the crowd in Thunder Valley, courtesy of Scion.

The San Diego-native began riding BMX bikes when he was six years old, and graduated to motorcycles when his dad bought him his first at age eight. Clowers found a great deal of success in the world of motocross racing, picking up plenty of wins, including X-Games gold medals.

Soon, the exciting new world of freestyle riding called out to Clowers, and he began testing his skill by performing tricks on his bike as it flew through the air.

"There were some big purses and it [freestyle] was something new to me," Clowers said. "I was excelling in it and decided to give it a try full time. I put my head down and focused on it and it turned the best for me."

Clowers says the thrill of performing gives him the most enjoyment from freestyle riding.

"I love performing for the crowd," explains Clowers, "and when everyone enjoys it, it fires you up. When you are racing, you are one-on-one with the other drivers, and not really doing it for the crowd. When you do freestyle, you are doing it for the crowd and it just pumps you up."

Clowers and Tilton have never brought their TNT Action Sports show to a drag strip, but Clowers says that shouldn't have an impact on the quality of the show.

"We've never done this at a dragstrip, but if it has asphalt and a big crowd, we'll be good," he said. "Fans are going to see everything they see on the X-Games, from Double Grabs to Cliff Hangers."

In addition, Brian Hayworth, and his pocket full of cash, will appear for the season finale of the Hayworth Tire Street Fights Wide Open Series. Sonic Night at Street Fights also will feature autocross for those who like to turn left and right, and a few lucky people will step inside the Sonic Money Machine to catch as much of the green stuff as they can.

At the Street Fights season finale on Thursday, Scion will hand the keys for a new 2008 Scion tC to one of 30 pre-registered contestants. Beginning in July, and ending Sept. 24, participants could register at one of three Tri-Cities Scion dealerships. Thirty names were drawn and those people will come to Thunder Valley hoping to drive away with the new car. Each contestant will receive a CD with a random song on it. One song will be designated the winning tune, and the person whose CD contains that song will win the new Scion.
