Fas Mart Street Fights, DER Bracket Series Finales This Week In Thunder Valley
Thunder Valley is sure to rock during the Thursday, Sept. 16 season finale of the Fas Mart Street Fights Series, as two local bands take to the stage for one of the fans’ favorite promotions… Thompson Metal Services Local and Loud Night.
Hosted by Z-Rock 99.3 FM and Thompson Metal Services, Shattered Bliss and Contact the Militia will heat up the night with a concert beginning at 8 p.m.
Bristol-based Shattered Bliss has been touring since 2004 and has a playlist full of their popular “southern grunge-metal” hits. Formed in 2008 in Johnson City, Contact the Militia blends the genres of metal, electronica, and rock into a unique sound unlike any other.
Additionally, the wait is almost over for the Carolina Carports give away. Fans have been able to sign up throughout the season for the new enclosed garage valued at almost $3,000. One lucky fan will walk away Thursday with the ultimate new garage to house their ride.
Thursday also is the final opportunity in 2010 for race fans to see the area’s fastest street legal machines in action. Throw in the quickest two-wheel machines around, and the Thompson Metal Services Local and Loud Night is the place to be this week.
Gates open at 5 p.m. Thursday, with racing at 6 p.m. Spectator admission is only $5, while anyone can race for just $10.
