NHRA officials today announced several changes for the 2010 Full Throttle Drag Racing Series schedule, including a new date for the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway. One of the most popular stops on the calendar, Thunder Valley will host the stars of the NHRA June 18-20, 2010.

The 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series schedule remains a 24-race schedule.

Jeff Byrd, Bristol Dragway president and general manager, said the new date will provide fans an even greater Thunder Valley experience.

"A couple of dates in the early part of the schedule got shifted around and this moved us into summer, directly between our two NASCAR events," said Byrd. "June is one of the most beautiful months of the year in Northeast Tennessee, so we're looking forward to an amazing weekend in Thunder Valley. I believe fans definitely will be planning their summer vacations around a trip to Bristol Dragway in June 2010."

The 2010 edition of the Thunder Valley Nationals marks the 10th annual event in Bristol.
