Bigfoot, Block Challenge Banks of Bristol at July 20 Event
In 2012 legendary Monster Truck Bigfoot made its debut at Bristol Motor Speedway, but as the iconic machine smashes back onto the track for the 2013 Thompson Metal Monster Truck Madness presented by Beef O Brady's, he'll share the equally iconic facility with a whole new set of first-time contenders - the stars of Global Rallycross (GRC).
Offering fans a one-of-a-kind experience, the Saturday, July 20 doubleheader pairs the venue's first-ever GRC event with its popular Monster Truck Madness spectacular, ensuring guests are treated to a thrilling spectacle as acclaimed Rally drivers such as Ken Block and famed heavyweights like Bigfoot showcase their skills.
With five X Games medals in his trophy case and the title of Gymkhana video series stunt driver on his resume, Hoonigan Racing Division driver Ken Block is guaranteed to thrill spectators during the evening's first event as he wheels his No. 43 Ford Fiesta around the corners of the custom-designed BMS course and soars over its towering jumps.
Once Block and his GRC competitors crown a champion, Bigfoot and his peers return to wreak havoc on the high banks during the Speedway's fifth annual Monster Truck Madness event. Starting with a racing segment, trucks speed around the track in two qualifying rounds before vying for the title in a final elimination. After a victor is declared, drivers climb back into their trucks prepared to catch big air and crush any obstacle in their path during the fan-favorite freestyle showcase - a showcase Bigfoot's driver Dan Runte promises will amaze.
"Just the opportunity to be at Bristol, I'll run the truck as hard as I possibly can," said the 10-time champion. "The magnitude of the facility make you want to run wide open. It's an honor to do a show at a place like this."
"I would recommend Bristol to any fan that hasn't been to a monster truck show," he said. "The way the facility is built with seating so close to the action, it guarantees they'll see what these trucks can really do."
Guests can also get up-close-and-personal with Block, Runte and their machines at the Monster Truck Pit Party/Global Rallycross Paddock Party scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. as well as by joining the post-event party after on-track action concludes.
Tickets to experience this one-of-a-kind show are just $25 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under, and if purchased by July 15th BMS is offering $5 off the adult ticket price so click here or call (423)-BRISTOL and reserve your seats today.
