The 12th Annual Mopar Thunder takes place September 2-4 in Thunder Valley and will be the ultimate showcase for Mopar muscle.

Everything kicks off on Friday evening with the always-exciting Mopar vs. The World.  This special event pits some of the fastest Mopars against all comers. Fans are invited to cheer on their favorites as they try to prove they own Thunder Valley.

Saturday racing includes a Bonus race and Slant 6 action, while Sunday features competition in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman and Slant 6.

Also on Saturday, fans have the opportunity to prove they can tame a high-powered monster truck, as the General Hazzard will be giving rides fans will never forget.

Classic Chryslers, Plymouths and Dodges will fill the Dragway grounds, as a Mopar car show offers fans a chance to view some of their favorites from years ago.

A visit to the swap meet and Manufacturers’ Midway will give spectators and participants the opportunity to purchase the hard-to-find items they have been looking to buy for their favorite Mopar.

Petty's Garage also will be on hand with one of the most outrageous new Dodge Challengers around, the Legacy by Petty.

Legacy by Petty is a custom Dodge Challenger built for the President of the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI). This machine has a convertible top, which is an option not available on the stock Challenger, and design and development took more than 11 months.

Throughout the car, fans will see the story of Petty’s professional life, from his NASCAR Rookie of the Year start to his record-setting 200 race wins, and from his seven NASCAR championships to his recent work promoting lift safety.

Legacy by Petty’s base coat is the trademark Petty Blue color made famous by the number 43 Superbird. Airbrush artist Mickey Harris covered the vehicle with detailed images of key moments in Petty’s career, including his spectacular crash on lap 106 of the 1988 Daytona 500 and, as depicted by eagles, Petty’s Medal of Freedom, America's highest civilian award

For Mopar maniacs, Thunder Valley is the place to be for all the fun of the 12th annual Mopar Thunder.
