There will be smoke on the mountain- and in the valley- during the Thursday, May 5 Fas Mart Street Fights event at Bristol Dragway thanks to the always-popular Burnout Competition.

Vehicles of all sizes will take part in this exciting contest to show which machine can produce the biggest and thickest cloud of tire-melting smoke in Thunder Valley. No one ever knows what may happen as cars are pushed to their limit.

The winner will be well rewarded with $200 cash and the title of Thunder Valley’s best burnout. Anyone is allowed to enter the burnout competition and all street-legal vehicles will be accepted.

Interested participants should sign-up in the Bristol Dragway Control Tower during the event.

Bristol’s Fas Mart Street Fights series celebrates its 11th season in 2011. Thanks to its exciting racing, fun atmosphere and great entertainment value, Street Fights continues to draw fans from near and far.

Spectator admission is $5, while anyone with a street-legal car can challenge Thunder Valley for only $10.

Anyone can take on the famous quarter-mile in Thunder Valley in their car, while their friends cheer from the grandstands. In a tough economy, an evening at Fas Mart Street Fights is an obvious choice.

Spectators and racers will be able to purchase season passes for the 2011 season. Each pass is good for entry to five Street Fights events and there is no limit to the number which can be purchased.

Racer passes are $35 for five events, while spectator passes are $20 for the same number of races. Anyone interested in purchasing season passes prior to the event, may contact Amy Denton at (423) 989-6930.

Gates open at 5 p.m. on Thursday evening, with racing set for 6 p.m.
