Launching last week's action on the Thunder Valley straight strip, the Huddleston Performance Jr. Dragster Nationals presented by Mike Bos Chassis Craft and Huddleston Performance Fun Races usher in the NHRA Eastern Conference Finals, one of the largest Jr. Dragster events in the country.

Saturday featured index class racing in the 7.90, 8.90, 9.90 and 12.90 classes. Angie, La. resident Blaine Stewart turned on the win light in the 7.90 finale, clocking in with a 7.906 elapsed time (ET) with a .052 reaction time at 81.49 mph. Brad Cole, Avon, Ind., claimed victory in the 8.90 division with a 74.54 mph pass, 8.922 ET, and .064 RT. Bristol Dragway regular Dylan Kiser posted a near-perfect reaction time (.006) in the 9.90 class finale but was ultimately unable to best Palmetto, Fla. resident Gage Burch's 9.921 ET, 66.24 mph pass. The 12.90 championship went to Braden Bettis of Deleon, Texas who recorded a .186 RT and 12.878 ET at 49.65 mph.

Also featured on Saturday was the 330 Outlaw final elimination run which pitted Lebanon, Ind. native Devin Isenhower against Baytown, Texas resident Brooke Heckel. Both racers crossed the 330-ft. mark with a 4.4 ET, but Isenhower's slightly quicker .043 RT provided him the winning edge.

Bracket racing reigned on Sunday in Thunder Valley with local talent Brianna Bailey notching a win for the home team in the 8-9 year-old-division with her defeat of Pittsboro, Ind. native Anson Brown. Bailey bested the son of NHRA star Antron Brown with a 49.53 mph pass, .188 RT and 13.038 ET (12.99 dial-in). Westerville, Ohio's Nathan Altenbach carried his starting line advantage to a win over Jonathan Northrop, Perkaskie, Penn., in the 10-12-year-old finale. Capitalizing on a .135 RT, Altenbach recorded an 8.941 ET (8.91 dial-in) at 74.19 mph on his winning pass.

Foul lights determined the champion in both the 13-14 and 15-17-year-old division finales. East Tennessee's Abby Fisk turned on the red light in the 13-14 year-old category, handing the win to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.'s Bailey Ferraro who recorded a .070 RT and 7.998 ET (7.92 dial-in) at 78.47 mph. Donnie Giovanini took the 15-17-year-old win after Pasedena, Md.'s Joshua Phelps redlighted away his run. The Clinton, Ind. resident posted a .056 RT and 7.896 ET (7.90 dial-in) in his 84.39 mph final pass.

Huddleston Performance also sponsored Monday and Tuesday's Fun Races, awarding cash prizes to the race's top packages. Bethlehem, Penn.'s Ryan Wruble overcame a slower start to earn the 8-12-year-old win over Fort Wayne, Ind. resident Jenna Osborne. Wruble's .179 RT was .166 slower than his opponent, but his 12.996 ET on a 12.93 dial-in earned him the final nod. Austin Argoe's quick reaction time, .024, propelled him to victory over Jarrottsville, Md.'s Collin Hoerr. The Middleton, Del. resident recorded an 8.086 ET (8.07 dial-in) at 76.02 mph.
