Mopar muscle rumbles through Thunder Valley during the 13th Annual Mopar Thunder Aug. 31- Sept. 2 at Bristol Dragway, an event that is the ultimate playground for Mopar maniacs.    

Everything begins Friday evening with the always-exciting Mopar vs. The World.  During this event some of the fastest Mopars will take on all comers to prove they own Thunder Valley. Fans should cheer on their favorites against the incoming Fords and Chevys.  

Action cranks up Saturday with racing action that includes the Bonus Race and Slant 6 action, while Sunday features competition in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman and Slant 6.

Also on Saturday, fans have will be treated to match racing from days gone by as the Southern Slingshots bring front-engine dragsters to the legendary Thunder Valley quarter-mile.

Classic Chryslers, Plymouths and Dodges will fill the Dragway grounds, as a Mopar car show offers fans a chance to view some of their favorites from years ago. 

A visit to the swap meet and Manufacturers’ Midway will give spectators and participants the opportunity to purchase the hard-to-find items they have been looking to buy for their favorite Mopar.

Gates open at 9 a.m. on Friday, with a Test and Tune session at noon. Mopar vs. The World begins at 6 p.m. Gates open at 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Car show registration begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, with Time Trials set for 10 a.m. Bonus Race eliminations begin at 2 p.m. On Sunday, chapel service takes place at 9 a.m. with one round of time trials at 10 a.m. Eliminations begin at 11:30 a.m.

Spectator tickets are $10 Friday, and $20 on Saturday and Sunday. A pass for all three days is available for $40, while a ticket good for both Saturday and Sunday is $35.
