Riders Anticipate Screamin' Eagle Champion Motorcycle Series Inaugural Trip To Thunder Valley
This weekend, the Screamin' Eagle Championship Motorcycle Series peals into Bristol Dragway for their inaugural pass down the straight strip, and seasoned racers like Team HeadBlade's Frank Capone are eager to create some noise inside Thunder Valley.
"When I first went to Bristol, I'd heard the chatter about Thunder Valley, and when we pulled into the pits, it all made sense," said the Pro Gas driver. "What a great facility, tucked in a valley with grandstands and camping actually integrated into the mountains. It gives me chills just to think about it. We're ready to initiate some of our own thunder there with the Screamin' Eagle Series."
The newly-formed Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series travels to Bristol Dragway as part of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series presented by Frito Lay. Tickets to attend the event are $20 for Saturday, and entry for children 12-and-under is free with a paid adult admission.
Guests bringing a Frito-Lay product purchased at their local Food City store can save $5 on any general admission ticket when presenting the product at the ticket gate.
Gates open Saturday at 8:00 a.m. with time trials and qualifying scheduled to continue at 8 a.m. and final eliminations, including those for the Screamin' Eagle Series, beginning at 11 a.m.
