Racers from across the NHRA's Southeast Division travel to Thunder Valley Sept. 5-7 intent on earning crucial championship points as the season draws to close, but dragsters and sportsman won't be the only classes vying for a title at this year's NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series presented by Frito Lay.

One of only ten venues to host the newly-formed, high-energy Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series in 2013, the weekend event features competition in Top Fuel, Pro Dragster, Pro Gas, Draggin' Bagger, V-Rod and Hot Street classes. The Screamin' Eagle Championship Motorcycle Series awards a Wally to winners in each class and collects scores from the best seven-out-of-ten races for Top Fuel riders in contention for a year-end championship trophy.

Similar to the track's Ford NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals event, weekend racing action also includes Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street classes.

Gates open at 11 a.m. on Thursday for a Test and Tune session. Tech inspection and registration begin at 8 a.m. on Friday with qualifying rounds scheduled for 9 a.m.

Guests bringing a Frito-Lay product purchased at their local Food City store can save $5 on any general admission ticket by presenting the product at the gate.
