One of the largest Chevy shows in the country and Thunder Valley Mayhem roll into Bristol Dragway Sept. 27 - 29, exciting guests with a can't-miss-schedule that includes daring bracket and exhibition races, high-flying motocross stunts from Team FMX, car-shredding destruction by Megasaurus and an impressive car show exhibiting some of the best bowties in the region.

The 2013 Super Chevy Show featuring Saturday night's Beef O' Brady's Thunder Valley Mayhem presented by Thompson Metal kicks off Friday for racers with gates opening at 9 a.m. and a test and tune slated to begin at noon.  Gates open for fans at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with a Bonus Bracket Race scheduled for 1 p.m. Thunder Valley Mayhem turns up the heat Saturday night as lightning-quick jet dragsters and explosive pro mods dash down the quarter-mile at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. In the midst of these edge-of-your-seat passes, Megasaurus, motocross stunts, the world's fastest monster truck and breathtaking fireworks display guarantee a good time for all those in attendance.

On Sunday, gates open at 8 a.m. with bracket races slated for 12:30 p.m., and the weekend's final jet dragster and pro mods runs at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Along with on track thrills, fans can also browse a spectacular selection of the region's best classic and modern Chevys during the weekend car show. Featuring over 40 different classes, these show machines are displayed in mint condition as owners not only vie for top honors in one of the region's largest shows but are also competing to have their ride featured in Super Chevy magazine. Cost to participate in the judged Car Show is $45 or $35 for the non-judged Show-n-Shine.

Gearheads should also put a visit to the swap meet and car corral on their weekend must-do list. Boasting over 300 swap meet vendors, the Performance and Restoration Marketplace is the ideal place for those seeking those hard-to-find used parts needed for their latest restoration project.

Cost to attend this action-packed, excitement-filled weekend at Bristol Dragway is just $30 for a weekend pass. Day passes are available for $10 on Friday and $20 for single-day entry on Saturday or Sunday. Cost for children age 10-and-under is $10 for the weekend or $5 per day.

Gates open Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. for racers, car show and swap meet participants wanting to park early. Racers should access the property through the Dragway entrance on Highway 394, while those participating in the car show or swap meet should enter through the Speedway's South Entrance off Volunteer Parkway.
