Big Things in Store for the 2013 Street Fights Schedule
Street Fights presented by ZRock 99.3 returns to Thunder Valley for another spectacular season of the hottest street-legal racing action around.
The Street Fights presented by ZRock 99.3 series celebrates its 13th season in 2013 with a March 30th kickoff, and there’s no question that it’s going to be the best year yet. With plenty of fast rides, wild promotions and awesome giveaways, Thunder Valley is the ultimate hang out.
And we’ve got something new this year that will be a big hit with our younger drivers – The Street Fights Rookie Pass.
The Rookie Pass is designed to educate new drivers, who may have just received their license, about the dangers of illegal street racing while giving them the much safer alternative of Street Fights, which also offers them the fun, social atmosphere of Bristol Dragway.
The Rookie Pass allows any driver, age 16 or 17, to race for free at any Street Fight event during the season. And on Saturday, March 30, Bristol Dragway officials will host a seminar, which gives drivers a better idea of how Street Fights works and how track officials work to make the environment fun, but also safe, for everyone. Newcomers to Street Fights are encouraged to ask Dragway officials questions while also receiving free practice runs before the event starts that evening.
If anyone misses the seminar, they may call Bristol Dragway (764-3724) or Kyle Rodriguez (989-6966) and schedule a day to come early to a Street Fights event to receive the information.
At each Street Fights event this year there will be a designated Rookie Racer Lane so our experienced staff members can identify the rookies and help with any questions they might have.
To participate in the Rookie Pass program, drivers must be 16 or 17 years of age, they must have a current driver’s license and they must complete a minor waiver form, signed by both the participant and the parent/legal guardian (must be present to sign). This form also can be downloaded from bristoldragway.com but it must be completed and notarized before it will be accepted.
The Street Fights Rookie Pass also is only good for one driver per car.
