As the calendar turns to May, the Marathon QuickStop Street Fights series continues its positive momentum from its record-breaking season opener.

Street Fights, which takes place 13 times throughout the season, is a 'Run What Ya Brung' type event that gives anyone the chance to tackle the strip at legendary Thunder Valley. All street-legal vehicles, from muscle cars to minivans and motorcycles, are welcome to compete at Street Fights.

Promotions for tonight's event include Power Hour and Perfect Light Night. Power Hour features head-to-head matchups between the night's eight fastest rides. Power Hour winners earn a trophy signifying their speed on the quarter-mile strip. At the end of the 2016 season, Bristol Dragway officials will tally the points of all Power Hour participants with the year's fastest rides taking home a Championship jacket and trophy.

For Perfect Light Night, any driver who cuts a perfect (.000) reaction time will win a prize. Successful entries can redeem their time slip at the tower.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for spectators and $10 for racers. Trailered racers will be $15. Kids (12 and under) are free.

Street Fights will continue through August. Many neat promotional opportunities will be held throughout the series, including Perfect Light Night, 100 MPH Club, Power Hour and more.
