Drivers of American muscle cars, import tuners, minivans, and motorcycles are gearing up to fuel their need for speed as Street Fights presented by ZRock 99.3 rumbles back into Thunder Valley on Thursday, May 2. Featuring the hottest street-legal racing around, the series allows anyone with a driver’s license to take on the legendary straight track in their own vehicle.

Along with bragging rights, up for grabs this week is a spot in the MPH Club, awarding racers with a special “club” decal if they complete a run at, or quicker than, the night’s 100 MPH requirement, and the title of “Thunder Valley’s Best Burnout” as the popular Burnout Wars return to Bristol Dragway.

Younger drivers also have the chance to showcase their driving skills through the new Street Fights Rookie Pass program. Designed to educate those who have just received their license, participating newcomers will receive access to experienced staff members and are able to race for free at any 2013 Street Fight event.

To participate in the Rookie Pass program, drivers must be 16 or 17 years of age, have a current driver’s license and complete a minor waiver form, signed by both the participant and the parent/legal guardian (must be present to sign).

Anyone interested in participating in the Burnout War or Rookie Pass program should contact Kyle Rodriguez (989-6966, ) prior to Thursday’s event.

Gates will open Thursday at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 6 p.m. Cost to participate is $10 to race, $15 for trailered cars, and $5 for spectators.
