The United States Air Force, a group known for speed and muscle, plays host to area race fans during the May 31 Taco Bell Street Fights at Bristol Dragway, another entity known for speed and muscle. During the evening, there will be several special opportunities for spectators to experience the power of the Air Force.

Fans have a chance to flex a little muscle of their own during the Air Force truck race. Instead of relying on the engine for power, teams of competitors will be chosen to push the trucks down the Thunder Valley strip. The winning group will win rewards to make the exercise well worth the effort.

Air Force also brings their massive gaming trailer, featuring some of the hottest new games on the planet, to Street Fights. Fans definitely will want to venture over to try their luck on the rig’s Playstation and Xbox consoles. Additionally, a miniature replica of an F-22 Raptor fighter jet will be on display.  The real F-22 is one of the most technologically advanced fighters on the planet, with engines capable of producing thrust greater than any other jet in the world.

Power Hour also is back at Bristol Dragway, as the region’s baddest street-legal machines battle for supremacy in Thunder Valley. At the end of the evening, the quickest cars return to the lanes to determine who is best.

Season passes still are available for purchase for the 2012 season. The five-event passes represent a savings of $20 for fans. Competitor passes are $35 for five races, which represents $15 in savings. Anyone who wishes to purchase a pass should contact Amy Denton at (423) 989-6930.

Anyone with a street-legal machine and a need for speed can challenge Thunder Valley for $10, while spectators can take in the fun for just $5. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the racing begins at 6 p.m.
