The 2016 season will be one of the biggest years in Bristol Dragway history and it begins this weekend with the season's first Street Fights Presented by 99.3 The X - Black Wolf Harley-Davidson Kickoff, Saturday, March 26.

Street Fights, which takes place 13 times throughout the season, is a 'Run What Ya Brung' type event that gives anyone the chance to tackle the strip at legendary Thunder Valley. All street-legal vehicles, from muscle cars to minivans and motorcycles, are welcome to compete at Street Fights.

Promotions for the season opener include Thunder Valley's well-known Perfect Light Night and 100 MPH Club. Drivers who are able to cut a perfect (.000) reaction time can redeem their time slip for a free ticket to a future Street Fights event during Perfect Light Night. With the 100 MPH Club promotion, any driver who runs at or quicker than the designated speed will receive a special "club" decal. Successful entries can redeem their time slip for the decal at the tower.

Drifting returns to Street Fights this Saturday with East10 drift.  Admission to Street Fights also allows fans to check out the drifting action from a viewing area right below the drag tower.  Anyone interested in drifting their own car needs to register at www.east10drift.com.

Gates will open this Saturday at Noon with racing scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Admission is $5 for spectators and $10 for racers. Trailered racers will be $15. Kids (12 and under) are free.

Street Fights will continue through August. Many neat promotional opportunities will be held throughout the series, including Perfect Light Night, 100 MPH Club, Power Hour and more.
