Drag race fans ready to see the sport’s next generation of stars should head to Thunder Valley July 21-22 for the Huddleston Performance Junior Nationals presented by Mike Bos Chassis Craft.

One of the largest Junior Dragster races on the schedule, the event allows competitors an important chance to prepare for the July 23-28 NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals. In all, Bristol Dragway will host eight days of Jr. Dragster action in Thunder Valley.

Because of its prime location on the calendar, the Huddleston Performance Junior Nationals continues to gain in popularity. Drivers ranging in age from eight to 17 will participate in several racing events throughout the course of the weekend.

In addition to the Thunder Valley 330’, racers will compete in several index and bracket classes and the King/Queen of the Hill competition. Drivers will race in one of four age groups, 8-9, 10-12, 13-14 and 15-17. U.S. Savings Bonds will be awarded to the top finishers in each race.

Index class racing will take place on Saturday in 7.90, 8.90, 9.90 and 12.90 classes. The 12.90 index class is reserved for the 8-9 year old class only.
